20-0245 13. ReportBay Area Regional Transportation Revenue Measure (1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.) Staff will provide a legislative update on SB 278 (Beall), Senator Beall's proposed $100 billion transportation revenue measure. The FASTER Bay Area coalition will then present an outline of their proposal, followed by a presentation from the Voices for Public Transportation coalition. The Commission will be asked to provide feedback to help guide staff's legislative advocacy on the bill. The potential timing of a regional transportation measure and its relationship to a regional housing funding measure will also be discussed. A discussion of AB 1487 (Chiu, 2019), which authorized MTC and ABAG to place a regional housing revenue measure on the ballot, will occur on January 31st at the joint meeting with ABAG Executive Board members.   Not available Not available

20-0250 12. ReportImplementation of AB1487, San Francisco Bay Area Regional Housing Finance Act (1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.) Staff will provide an overview of the Bay Area Regional Housing Finance Act and review key considerations related to placement of a measure on the November 2020 ballot. The Nonprofit Housing Association of Northern California (NPH) will present polling results. Board members will be asked to discuss considerations related to placing a regional housing measure on the ballot in 2020, including what information is needed before making a final decision and the outreach approach with local jurisdictions and stakeholders that could inform such a decision.
