Title: Public Hearing on Regional Growth Forecast Methodology for Regional Housing Control Total for Plan Bay Area 2050 The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), in coordination with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), is beginning development of a new long-range plan for the San Francisco Bay Area this fall known as Plan Bay Area 2050 (Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy). Under a 2014 legal settlement with the Building Industry Association Bay Area (BIA Bay Area), ABAG must hold a public hearing on the methodology used to determine the Regional Housing Control Total and the forecasted development pattern for Plan Bay Area 2050, which must be held before the methodology is adopted and before the Regional Housing Control Total being disclosed. ABAG will hold this public hearing to receive oral or written testimony in regards to the proposed methodology.
